Connecticut Charitable Gaming 3h5u1n

Charitable gaming in Connecticut is limited to bingo, sealed tickets, bazaars, and raffles for licensed nonprofits. Las Vegas Nights (casino-style charitable gaming) remains banned. The Department of Consumer Protection oversees licensing and compliance.

A law dating back to the 1970s allowed civic groups and churches to include casino-style gambling (blackjack, roulette and craps) as options for their fundraising efforts. In 1991, a failed attempt was made to repeal the law. It wasn't until 2003 that a proposal ed to ban Las Vegas nights gambling from the types of gaming allowable for charitable purposes.
